GRAMMARIAN

Introduction/Script

Grammarian's role is to closely observe the language used throughout the meeting, noting effective usage of grammar and phrases that stand out. Feedback will be provided at the end, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. The Grammarian will also offer some suggestions.

SCRIPT.

Grammarian:

Good [morning/afternoon/evening], fellow Toastmasters and guests. I am [Your Name], your Grammarian for today's meeting. My role is to listen carefully to all speeches and reports, and to provide feedback on the use of language, grammar, and word choice. I will be noting any interesting, effective, or creative use of language, as well as any common errors or misused words.

Additionally, our word master has chosen the ‘Word of the Day’ for us to incorporate into our discussions. 

"I’ll be keeping track of the use of our ‘Word of the Day’ and noting who uses it. Let’s aim to make our conversations richer and more engaging today!"

[Closing and Report]

"Thank you, everyone, for your attention. Now, for my report:  

- [Summary of any notable grammatical points or phrases that stood out].  

- I noted some excellent uses of language today, such as [mention specific examples].  

- Also, it was great to hear the ‘Word of the Day’ used by [mention speakers who used it].  

It's important to remember that effective communication goes beyond just the words we use; it reflects our clarity of thought and engagement with our audience."
